BEACH BABY

Myrtle Beach...

Cloe had so much fun. David has decided that it was not a vacation and we may never have a vacation again ! It was very different having Cloe with us, for instance sun bathing on the beach was replaced by building sand castles, or better yet throwing sand on to Mommy and Daddy. But seeing her smiling face in the ocean was priceless... Especially when David would "accident" get hit by a wave and she would go under.... She's okay and in one piece, so no worries.

Highlights include

The carnival, Cloe rode with us on a haunted ride, she loved it, the girl is a dare devil and fearless, the only time she cried was when we had to get off. She also rode the carousel, the old-time cars, the ferris wheel and the berry-go-round which her and David weren't so happy about !

The buffet... Cloe enjoyed a hot dog, 2 plates of mac-n-cheese, french fries, a crab cake ( she stole from Mommy's plate ), fried shrimp, string beans, an ice cream cone, she threw the ice cream on a plate, before consuming the cone, 2 plates of fruit and some cake. Not to mention a pink lemonade for a drink. I am sure glad we stopped her there, who knows how much that girl can put back ! But she had a great time, being able to go to the buffet and point out what she knew she wanted and some things she just wanted to try...

The pool... the hotel we stayed at had a kiddie pool with buckets that flipped water onto you, she loved this, except when the buckets stopped working, and she threw a fit.... BONUS- David doesn't read this, so he won't mind me putting in a highlight.... while showing Cloe and me how to blow bubbles in the kiddie pool, Cloe turned . Note David was next to her and suppose to be watching her... While showing me bubbles and saying BUBBLEs, BUBBLEs.... I said David get Cloe, still not turning to look at her, he says Bubbles.... while our baby is under water for a good second or 2.. Finally he stopped with the damn Bubbles and got her.... Needless to say he won't live that one done.

 

Overall it was wonderful, Cloe loved getting up eating breakfast with both Mommy and Daddy then going to the beach and pools, was the most fun,, I think she ever had, and we could tell. She took 2 naps a day all week and Daddy took a nap a day all week..... We all had a wonderful time and got a little bit of needed rest.
